I need a detailed explanation on how to spot a fake Louis Vitton bag and Coach!?

I would like to buy a LV bag on Ebay and I would how can I tell the difference between what is real and what is not. This is a gift for someone and you hate to get something wrong. i cannot help with Louis Vouitton coach, but a symbol of LV, not cut off at the seams. If the seam of the bag is divided symbol LV, then its a fake or forgery. Hope that helps
